Maybe Then and Maybe ——> There

I just wish I could escape and sleep among the stars.

Maybe then and maybe there, I’d find who You are.

I wish I could become microscopic and inspect all details of ordered nature.

Maybe then and maybe there, I’d find wisdom surpassing earthly treasure.

God, create in me great humility.

And rip apart that

ugly

part.

I no longer want to live for the what ifs.

I want to live in Your promises.

I no longer want to doubt Your intimate gifts.

I want to live beyond all this.

I just wish I could escape and sleep among the stars.

Maybe then and maybe there, I’d find who You are.

I wish I could return all the terrible deeds.

Maybe then and maybe there, I’d have lived for the least of these.

God, create in me great humility.

And rip apart that

ugly

part.

I no longer want to live infected in sin already rejected.

I no longer want to choose carnality over Your superior reality.

I just wish I could escape and sleep among the stars.

Maybe then and maybe there, I’d find who You are.

I’ve found who You are.
